Here is a close up of my darling sandals. I wore these first to my daughter’s wedding!
I remember where I was on 9/11. I had just taken step to divorce my first husband, worried about how I would provide for my children and then I saw everything happen on TV. I was stunned and horrified. I visited New York in 2012 and saw ongoing work at the memorial but I will never forget that day.
A huge part of who I am is spiritual. At the end of my first marriage I was reminded how much my Heavenly Father loves me and I am important to Him. That knowledge got me through some very difficult struggles.
Every day I am thankful for my Heavenly Father’s love and If I do not recognize His hand in my life I am ungrateful for all He has done for me.
Sunday I remember what is really important and my priorities. If you ever struggle, remember you can depend on Him.
I’m all about Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, and DCComics but I don’t like to “costume”, it doesn’t fit my personality. I like haute, so I wanted to find some type of plaid pants to match my graphic tee from Salt Lake FanX. Finally found these stretch #elle #kohls and it’s perfect! Be yourself and dress your personality!
Good morning! Here I am starting my blog and I thought to explain my recent Instagram name changes! 15 years ago I ended an emotionally abusive marriage and began discovering/remembering who I am. One way I did this was through fashion. At the end of my aforementioned marriage, I bought a darling zip up sweater, gray leopard print, with faux fur on the collar and cuffs. My (now ex) criticized my looks and the sweater and a rebel was born.
Fast forward six years and I found the love of my life, we were engaged to be married and my wedding ring is a beautiful Levian, “Chocolate Diamonds” band. So whenever I do something I remember I need to remember who I am. That is why I have “chocolate” in my blog name and how it is connected with my love for fashion. I feel like fashion was one thing that helped me come out of my shell.
Now it’s been nine 1/2 years since I married the love of my life- Mike and I finally decided to start a blog. I want to help other women my age recognize their beauty, accept the aging process, and we might even have a little fun!
My ring (chocolate diamonds) and fashion represent my discovered authenticity!
