Fall into Style

Hello friends!

I thought I would share a fun summer look that would transition easily to fall!

I found this rust colored eyelet top from Target and fell in Love immediately! It has a elastic neck and sleeves and is so comfy. It is eyelet but not see through as sometimes happens with this material.

I wore it with my Kut from the Kloth jeans, leopard slides from TJMaxx, and leopard backpack from ASOS and it’s super cute! I think this top would also be cute with any type of animal print pants or skirt. The eyelet really pops and is so fun!

When the weather cools down, I will add my leopard booties and a cream or black cardigan or possibly a denim jacket and it would be very fun while still keeping you warm!

I love items that can transition to the next season! It makes them so much more fun to wear and I end up wearing these items with several different things.

You Donโ€™t Remember??

Hello friends and happy Wednesday!

I’m sharing something funny to make your hump day hilarious!

Sunday I wore a necklace my husband bought me years ago. It quite dainty and the last few years I’ve been wearing bigger costume jewelry (this necklace is the real deal).

I wore a black maxi embroidered dress I snagged at TJMaxx (Free People) and it’s so fabulous, I thought I needed a piece of jewelry equally fabulous but a little understated. Then I saw my dainty silver, diamond framed, smoky quartz (I believe that’s the name of the stone!) necklace. It seemed perfect I thought…

After I dressed, hubs passed me in the hall “that necklace is really pretty, where did you get it”??? ๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿ˜ณ uhhhhh๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป you babe

Thrifting to be Thankful

Hello Friends!

Wow I hope everyone is staying warm! We had a huge snowstorm last night into today and there is about 8 inches of wet cold snow out there. Be safe too!

I’m continuing my thankful thrifting/shopping my closet today! This will be a regular feature until after Christmas. I hope you enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I’m sharing a pink/gold/cream ensemble from last year and earlier this year. I snagged these gorgeous gold pull on pants from TJMaxx in July (In Jackson Hole when I was visiting family) and this cream knit top, leopard boots (last year), and scarf from Target this year. I always have a hard time thinking of something to put with these pants but until my thrifting thankful challenge, never had I ever thought of putting them with pink! It’s such a pretty combination don’t you think?

Just to make sure I was warm just in case things turned cold (this was last Thursday-I plan my pictures in advance) I wore my tan coat snagged in September from Oldnavy for like $5 (I had some rewards) and I stayed really warm because it did start to rain/snow.

I am really enjoying my thrifting challenge. Some people might think it’s not a real thrifting challenge because I’m not buying things at a thrift store, but I think it’s thrifty because I’m shopping my closet! It’s such a challenge but yet it’s so fun! And it let’s me focus on being thankful for what I have while also being aware of others needs around me. Win/win!

So friends, the next time you think you need to shop…just look around the corner in your closet ๐Ÿ™‚

Wish List

Hey friends!

How are you all on this fine Wednesday? I hope everyone is well and happy ๐Ÿ™‚

I thought I would share a little bit of my fun trip to Wyoming last weekend! I left on Thursday and returned Sunday.

Thursday I had some fun in the thriving metropolis of Thayne Wyoming (actually it’s a small town) but my aunt runs a food truck by a local motel (owned by a family member) and we sat and ate the best burgers ever, followed by fun conversation with my parents and aunt and uncle.

The next day I drove up to Afton (about 20 minutes away) to visit with my grandfather (who this year will be 97)! and my two aunts were also there visiting for the Lincoln County Fair! Later that afternoon we visited the fair and watched the Swift Idol (sort of like American Idol but small scale) of local voices under a big tent. That was enjoyable although hot hot hot ๐Ÿ™‚ Afterwards enjoyed a rodeo! Yee haw!

Then Saturday my mother and I drove up to Jackson Hole (yes the same-just about 40 minutes from where I grew up) and puttered around town-we ate lunch at Wort Bar and Motel- saw a famous person (actually two older gentlemen approached our table with a pick up line-that was funny). We stopped at a regular store-TJMaxx where I found a gorgeous embroidered maxi dress by Free People which is to die for! Smoking deal too!

Then we visited some less than affordable shops around downtown Jackson Hole LOL. I tried on a gorgeous cowboy hat with jewels around the brim, it was so pretty but $400….yes that’s how much it was dang it. Hubby said I could buy it if we sold both our cars! LOL!

We drove back home later and attended another rodeo…I can’t believe I’ve seen three rodeo’s this summer! How much more fun is that?? It’s been a great summer ya’ll.

I’m sharing the pictures of the dress and a cute video of the super expensive hat I DID NOT PURCHASE LOL! I was explaining the hat to a co worker and she asked “Did you seriously buy the hat?? You are all about deals”! And I realized, she is right! I don’t like to spend loads of money, I like to get deals on stuff. That was a good reminder to be an affordable shopper.
