Parking Lot Shenanigans

Hey Everyone!

Happy Friday and weekend! I wonder if any of you have sweet plans this weekend? I’m on call, so I’m staying close to my cell phone but hopefully things will be smooth 😉

Yesterday I WAS NOT ON CALL, so me and hubs lived it up with some of our married children and grandchildren! Our married son and daughter in law gave hubs an evening of bowling and so that’s how our fun started out! There were six of us in total, and I ended up winning (121)- still not a great score but it’s better than I did last time so that’s good!

Then we ate at Costa Vida which has a location right at the bowling alley. After that the little kids were getting pretty tired and they called it a night but I talked hubs into taking me to a movie! Jurassic World! Whee! (I didn’t like it as much as the previous Jurassic Park movie but really I got out and did something so that’s most important 😉

Although we had some struggles in the parking lot! We couldn’t find anywhere to park and so I suggested hubs drop me off and I would check in on our MoviePass app with both our phones….interestingly enough after I got out of the car I realized I left my phone in the car but spent the next ten minutes chasing after hubs car in the parking lot but he never did see me! He is driving away and I’m running behind him trying to catch him….he didn’t see me and turned down another lane, I went through cards and tried to get his attention but he didn’t see me again and this happened about four more times until he parked! Picture this woman running up and down the parking lot waving her hands and yelling! Yeah that was me! Hubs needs a new windshield if he can’t see me chasing after him! LOL

Running through the parking lot, I blended in with the asphalt with my black/white/gray/edgy outfit! It’s my high waist-wide leg striped pants by Express, my graphic Beatles Tee, my gray mini shoulder bag, and my white wedge sandals by JCPenney (at the movie theatre I had changed into flip flops-thus I could run hahaha and I got about 1000 steps so there’s that) and a new edgy eye shadow look inspired by an advertisement I saw on Instagram!

Hope your weekend is wonderful friends!

Can I change? Can I be a small bag girl?

So the last couple months I found a couple really cute bags that I love….these are also SMALL bags….

In my purse’s I normally carry a big wallet, a cosmetic bag (five or six lipsticks depending on the day, dental floss, fingernail clippers, acetaminophen, lipgloss, fingernail file) a small lotion, my cell phone, cell charger, my reading glasses, car keys, and sometimes some coupons along with my pill container….so what do I get rid of?

Dental floss, phone/charger, lipstick are crucial, along with my pills and car keys. If I’m driving (which I always am) I need my license and debit card. I guess I don’t need anything else right?

It’s hard to downsize because what if I have a lipstick emergency or my nail breaks?? Everyone knows a ragged nail will drive me crazy all day long! I don’t like emergencies! I always want to be prepared, so most of the time I have a HUGE bag….a small bag is a big change. I also don’t like change too, did I mention that? NO CHANGES….;) (links to the tiniest cutest bags ever)

Being sick is dramatic

Hello friends!

I thought I would share what is going on in my life today….I am sick…sick…sick….it’s no fun and I feel like I’m going to die (that’s a little dramatic right?) but seriously my head hurts and I can’t even sleep I’m so miserable…and it’s no fun being sick. I would rather feel better. I would rather be shopping at Target or working….

Can I choose door number two? Is that the door where I’m not sick?? I don’t even mind going to work, that’s surely better than being sick. Just for future reference, I would rather work every day than be sick. (Just putting that out in the universe).

So since I’m so sick that I can’t sleep, I’m here on my couch (although the remotes are too far away to reach) and thought I’d share a fun look I found on IG the other day. It’s a pink/red floral skirt combined with a ruffly pink/black sweater and black/white plaid purse from Target-WhoWhatWear! Isn’t it darling? I couldn’t find the sweater or bag in my local store (earlier this week when I wasn’t on my deathbed-dramatic I know) but found them on Instagram and ordered online. The sweater isn’t here yet but will be next Monday and we are going out to dinner for Valentine’s Day so I could wear the obligatory RED/PINK then and totally be on point (yet there is a large dose of black which is a little rebellious and not so Vday obedient) ha ha so check out your local Target/WhoWhatWear section (I can’t cause I don’t have the energy to dress, take a shower, reach for the remotes, eat, or leave the house) but if you’re like me, you could always shop online!

Hopefully soon I won’t feel like this and be back to my normal happy shopping fashion color fun trendy self!

So please send prayers my way that soon I will not be sick and back to being happy??

End of Week Fashion

Hello Friends!

First I want to say thank you for reading my blog, I feel super grateful for all the support in my new venture into blogging and wanted all of you to know I appreciate you!

I thought for Friday fun, I would share my last couple of days of fashion choices 🙂

I try to combine things that are different but fun and here is what I wore yesterday and today!

Yesterday I felt like wearing my gray with pink polka dot shirt from Express, so I combined it with my pink Express jeans. I felt a dilemma because I needed a jacket but nothing seemed to match until I grabbed this tan cardigan from OldNavy, it has a pink hue and with my silver/sparkle boots from Nordstrom Rack set the whole outfit perfectly. I rationalized that tan is close to gold (hue wise) and thought it would be fun to add my gold earrings with silver stones and my leather tan wrap bracelet with pink stones. I think it’s fun to combine lots of different elements for a complex look! I think this one is a win!

Today I had to wear my new embroidered Express jeans! I’ve been searching forever for a well fitting pair of embroidered jeans and finally! Me and Express seem to go well together, their fit and rise is perfect for my shape, so I was super excited. In warmer months I would wear these jeans with a T shirt but it’s super cold so I grabbed a tan sweater (H&M) and my tan boots (I almost have a cowgirl thing going on which I totally love!) then the piece de resistance (I’m sure I spelled that wrong) is my H&M red Faux Fur coat….oh my gosh how much more fun can Friday be without being a weekend or a holiday???
